As winter winds down in the Northern Hemisphere, that can only mean one thing down under- the Chilean and New Zealand heli skiing season is near. Leaves are changing color, the tundra is preparing for winter, and temperatures in the High Andes are dipping into the 30’s (that’s almost zero celcius) at night.
The temperature’s dropped, winter is coming and it’s time to start planning your heliskiing adventure for this season. And where better to head for inspiration than a ski and snowboard show in your country, packed to the rafters with the latest clothing and equipment, best deals and enthusiastic aficionados ready and willing to share their knowledge.
For our readers in the UK, you all know how much Total Heliski love a party. Our previous Total Heliski Shows are very well attended. Well, we couldn’t help but make a little splash with our arrival over here in the US of A. We are inviting existing and budding heliskiers and boarders to our upcoming event.
The 2012 London Olympic Games have shown the world the efforts some people make to achieve perfection. As the organisers anticipated, it’s been a truly inspirational spectacle for all of us to appreciate and absorb.
At Total Heliski, we believe applying similar aims of perfection to your heli ski holiday this winter can easily be achieved (attaining the physical athleticism perhaps a little more difficult).
As our members in the Northern Hemisphere now enjoy long summer days, we reflect on the 2012 heli ski season highlights. Winter played a few games with us last season, with snowfalls erratic across both sides of the Atlantic. However Total Heliski managed to run several Member Tours and many clients embarked on their dream winter holiday all over the Northern Hemisphere, including the mighty Himalayas.
Hear from Hayley Melidonis, CEO of Total Heliski (the experts behind London’s Total Heliski Show), as well as John Forrest, the Owner of Northern Escape Heli Skiing.They will share their expertise on heli & cat skiing in general and the Canadian Rockies in particular and launching special Total Heliski Tours for our clients.
The annual 2011 City Ski Championships take place from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th March in Courmayeur, Valle d’Aosta Italy where the snow has been plentiful this season.
Up to 200 skiers from over 40 City firms will experience a full itinerary of skiing, guiding, coaching, racing, dining on & off the mountain, partying and prize-giving in a programme of friendly competition.

We’ll be on the first lifts each morning and the last off the slopes each evening, aiming to finish the challenge no matter what the weather throws at us – wind, fog, ice, snow or even too much sun!
