Hayley Melidonis - Founder
Hayley is a passionate skier, adventurer, and an Australian entrepreneur who has been searching for snow powder days her whole life.
Originating from the least powderous continent on earth, has not stopped her succeeding in this quest. In fact it led her to numerous international powder adventures that formed the basis for Total Heliski, her heli ski and cat ski and boarding promotion and booking company. Read more.

In addition to a successful career at Ansett Airlines, Penny’s love of international skiing led her to become a leading figure in the world of organized ski racing within the global airline industry. Read more.
Hayley Melidonis is an Australian international businesswoman, avid heli skier and adventurer.
Hayley began skiing at three years old in Perisher Valley, Australia. She’s skied 100+ resorts and back country all over the world on six continents so far.. She developed a taste for heliski, and backcountry skiing as a young adult.
In addition to heli skiing all over the world, she completed the Haute Route on alpine touring skis in 2007.
She also ski mountaineered the Grand Paradiso (4061m, highest peak in Italy) in 2008.
Hayley is not shy of other non-skiing adventures, and interweaves these into her skiing life. These include mountaineering Mt Pisco and other peaks to just shy of 6000m in the Peruvian Andes; white water rafting extensively around the world including the Zambesi in Zimbabwe, Sun Kosi in Nepal, Futaleufu in Chile, and the Nile in Uganda. She completed her Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) parachuting course in 2004, is an amateur rock climber, avid multi-day trekker, and an enthusiastic sailor having participated in the Rolex mini-maxi sailing regatta on the Caol Ila multiple times.
She also dived with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef and South Africa, and her newest challenge is kite boarding. You can read about her slow journey to master kite boarding on her blog haylestrails.
Professionally, Hayley built a successful business career spanning the globe in travel, mobile and digital media. She has held executive positions in sales, marketing and business development in top 500 companies, like Ansett Airlines, Virgin Mobile, Motorola, and Nokia. She also is a mobile growth and monetization expert having ran business development for various advertising technology companies. She combined these professional and personal experiences and her passion for heli skiing, into Total Heliski which she founded in 2009.
In 2009, she won silver medals in the women’s league for the British Telemark Ski Championships.
After skiing over a hundred resorts and backcountry all over the world, she discovered heli skiing in Alaska in the Chugach mountains, and has been hooked ever since.

In addition to a successful career at Ansett Airlines, Penny’s love of international skiing led her to become a leading figure in the world of organized ski racing within the global airline industry.
She held the title of President of the Ansett Ski Club, Secretary to Airlines of Australia Ski Federation,
and Aust/ NZ Director for the International Airlines Ski Federation (IASF).
Penny organised teams and tours to compete in the Australia/ NZ, and the IASF World Airline Skiing Championships (the 3rd largest winter sport event in the world behind the Winter Olympics and World Cup).
Her strong organisation, and administration skills, her international ski experience, as well as her engaging personality and dry sense of humour, are a welcome addition to the Total Heliski Team down under.
